Built upon the visual language of ASICS Sportstyle footwear and inspired by the GEL-Cumulus™ 16 silhouette,  the collaboration introduces two reconstructed models that reinterpret performance design through the lens of the Camiel Fortgens design philosophy.

The project combines familiar ASICS elements, including tiger stripes, velcro closures and technical panel constructions  with hand-cut leather overlays, irregular stitching and exposed unfinished details. Constructed almost like a collage, the shoes balance functionality with tactile craftsmanship, allowing sportswear and luxury materiality to elevate one another.

This collaboration is part of the Crafts for Mind project. Crafts for Mind is built around the idea that creativity and making can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing. In support of this, a portion of proceeds will be donated to FFort Foundation, supporting young adults with and after cancer through art and storytelling.
